About Us

Humble Roots, Hardy Growth

Seneca Winds Nursery didn’t begin with a grand blueprint or acres of covered growing space. It started with a muddy pair of boots, a lot of determination, and exactly 50 plants. We believe that the best things take time to grow, and our nursery is no exception. We bootstrapped this operation from those first few potted plants to where we are now just a few tough years later.

Your Private Sanctuary

We realized early on that a home is only as good as the peace and quiet it provides. That’s why we expanded from our initial focus on the "Living Wall"—specializing in premium privacy greenery like Skip Laurels and Arborvitaes. In a world that’s always "on," we provide the natural screen you need to turn your backyard back into a retreat. Because we’ve grown this business from such humble beginnings, we don't just see inventory; we see the future hedge that will frame your family’s Saturday mornings.

Why Choose Us?

Because we know what works in our finicky area. With our unpredictable winters and humid summers, when you shop with us, you are getting plants that will thrive in our climate.

We can’t wait to help you grow your own private retreat starting this Spring.

Plan Your Visit

GPS sometimes provides wonky directions. Look for the signs on Germantown Road. As you enter off 118 (Germantown Road), make an immediate right on the gravel drive. We have a small parking lot - be nice to your fellow plant enthusiasts and provide grace!

There are speed cameras nearby and nothing will ruin a drive faster than seeing that flashing light in your rearview mirror.

Plants can sometimes be wet and messy - Please bring bags or liners if you want to keep the vacuuming to a minimum.

Dress for the weather. Sometimes its blazing hot, sometimes its rainy, be prepared.

Be kind to our staff and to each other. We work hard in all sorts of conditions and will do our best to provide amazing service. Depending on the day of week and season, you may have to wait to get your questions answered. We regularly work through lunch to ensure all our customers are supported, we simply ask for patience.
